ROAD DEPARTMENT
Roadmaster: Kolin D. McCauley
Road Worker: Peter V. Schmidt
Part-Time Road Worker: James A. Wingler
The Township Road Department is made up of one full-time road worker, a part-time road master, and a part-time road worker for winter maintenance or emergency projects. Our equipment includes 3 single axle dump trucks, a one ton dump truck, a loader, a grader and a John Deere tractor with mower attached. All dump trucks are equipped with radios to transmit information back and forth from each other or the base station. Each truck can be mounted with a snow plow and tailgate spreader for plowing and spreading anti-skid materials.
The Road Department is responsible for paving and maintaining the roads within the Township. They plow and salt in the winter and pave and sealcoat in the spring, summer and fall. They mow the road banks and keep the weeds from growing where they shouldn't. They replace the signs that vandals take, remove or destroy. They repair and maintain the fleet of trucks and other equipment necessary to do the work on the roads. They clean gutters, trim trees and maintain the park. All in a days work for these tireless men!

The fleet of trucks all washed up and clean after a terrific snow storm the weekend of February 11, 2006.
